So, if you didn't know already, I got a new temp job working at the St. Joesph County Archives. It looks like a great job, interesting (to me) at least, and it's not Home Depot. Of course, I get this job RIGHT after I start getting full 40 hours a week from Home Depot, because all of the kidlings are going back to school....so I spend 2-3 hours on a day off trying to shuffle schedules around so I can start right away. Right after I get done getting all of my shifts covered, they tell me they don't need me until the 25th. Figures, right. Well, of course, the week of the 25th is the week I couldn't get rid of all my hours, so I have to start my new job on Tuesday instead of Monday because I have to work at stupid Home Depot still. Then I have to take a day off at the new place on Wednesday of that week because I have to work again at home depot all day. Grr..
And then on top of that, my mom hears about this nice job from a friend of hers at the school we all went to, so she applies and it looks like she's gonna get it. Is it wrong to want your mom not to get a job? The reason for that is if she gets a job, then she needs a car, and then we end up a car short. Unfortunately for her (and luckily for me) she didn't get it, but I have a feeling that soon down the road, she'll probably get a call, because I know the type of people they normally hire for the job she was applying for, and they tend to flake out after a while. I think she didn't get hired because she would be making too much money, due to her prior school experience. I hope she does get it, because lord knows she's bored at home, but if she does, what the hell do I do for a car. I don't have enough money now to pay my bills, put gas in the car, and still have anything left over, let alone if I have to get a car too on top of it.
*sigh* And this new job is a temp job, and with all the crappy budget cuts going on around here lately, the lady didn't know if she would be able to keep me past January, so...there's that element of instability as well.
But it is experience that's in my field, and I think that trumps anything, even if the job ends in January. I do have to admit, it looks really interesting, and the lady really liked me, but who knows.
And of course, on top of all that, I'm still damn lonely. Who knew it'd be so goddamn hard to find bi/gay guys in the area that weren't fruitcakes. I need some cock, damn it, and i'll be goddamned if I can't find ANY!
Blah!
